(back story)
My brother's godmother caught on fire a few weeks back (real bad),
and has been in the hospital since-
They now have to cut through the perhaps un-taken grafts
to make incisions for other problems...
(the story)
Things got bad last night, the phone was ringing,
once my brother answered and talked to her son (10 years my senior).
once my mother answered and all she heard was sobbing and crying,
and says she talked and talked to this sobbing and crying for a very long time,
assuming the worst and trying to ease the sobbing and crying...
...
my brother came into her room and informed her that he had been talking to the son,
at the same time that she was talking to the sobbing and crying - on the same house-line.
How can this be.
My mother told my father this morning,
them both having suffered through a great deal of human loss in their lives,
and he told her that in times past, she was prone to premonitions.

Where does the spark come from?
Everything is made of garbage bag layers and is blowing.
I get this feeling once every year or so,
like the two points are coming together and I can sort of...
'pierce' through.
The sound is gray wind and you can only see it out of the corner of your eye.
Perhaps it's an evolution of that 'self-as-self' feeling that washed over you like electricity
as a child once in a while,
that I am not him and him, but me, *insert name*, repeat, awash, flutter...
Tiny weights drag parts of my face down to the floor, inside.
This is neither bad nor good, but important.
Sometimes it is remarkable that we are able to live our lives.
